Hi Everyone! I’m very excited to announce that two of my illustrations from my picture book Foolish Men of Agra, done in 1996, have been selected for an exhibition on children’s books illustrations at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (Musée des Beaux Arts de Montréal.) This fall over 80 original illustrations from Canadian picture books will be on exhibit at the Montreal Museum of Fine Art. The exhibit will run from September 11 to October 14, and will we followed by Take Home an Original, an auction of the original art, on October 16, 2012. The auction is a fundraiser for the Canadian Children’s Book Centre. Don’t miss this superb opportunity to enjoy a remarkable array of talent from this country’s great illustrators. Please go check it out for yourself if you get the chance!

"Joy"
This is my latest painting done at Avenue Road Art School. I am really enjoying the variations of lines and marks plus the washes and texture that brings life to my pieces.

Leaf Series
These images were originally done for a Calendar for Avalanche Publishing and later for Pier 1 Imports. The Maple leaf was also used for stationery and note cards. I made limited edition Giclees out of a series of them -for sale too.
Medium: Collage, digital, actual leaves that I pressed between heavy books, dried them and scanned them, to incorporate into my artwork.

Splashing in the bath
This illustration was colored digitally but the lines were hand drawn. The colors are fun and bright. Great for trade or education publication.

A Busy Day for Teddy
This is a slight departure for me . I have discovered the joy of illustrating a child in an animal's body. I don't have to worry about ethnicity or about being politically correct. Must say really enjoyed doing it. The medium was pastel and digital.
